The wonderful world of Wedding Planners/Coordinators can be an overwhelming and confusing world. There are challenges to shop and compare services when prices can be all over the board.
Basically a planning package should offer you and your family peace of mind. A coordinator should include a couple of in-person meetings, a venue walk-through, day-of timeline, vendor confirmations and rehearsal coordination. You must also trust and like your coordinator. This is a person that will be with you the entire and look to ensure that everything goes without a hitch.

Sure, your aunt Sally can do these things for you, but do you really want family to work on your wedding day? Does she have the knowledge of what to expect from the florist, photographer and DJ set up? Will she know where to load in and what time to set up and what time to take items down? Is she insured? A lot of venues request people that set up a wedding or event have ensured and would prefer a professional that will be respectful of their space. A timeline constructed by an experienced planner or coordinator will help create an event that appears to flow effortlessly, as if powered by magical fairy dust!

A planner or coordinator will know what to do when:

  • Many vendors book multiple events in a weekend and can get their wires crossed. Confirmations handled by a pro help head off confusion prior to a dance floor disaster.
  • Floating all night between you, the photographer, the DJ and the catering/venue staff. They make sure music is cued, cameras are in position and you have a chance to pee before you cut the cake.
  • No matter how well things are planned and confirmed, something will go wonky on the wedding day. An experienced professional will handle any hiccups in such a way that you and your guests will never know anything unusual happened.
